The Pre-Authorization Specialist will verify and obtain authorizations as required by insurance company’s dependent upon the plan coverage for all patients. The Pre-Authorization Specialist will contact patients for updated insurance information, where applicable and coordinate with the Financial Counselor information needed for all patients. The Pre-Authorization Specialist provides detailed and timely communication to both payers and third-party reviewers to comply with payer contractual requirements and is response for documenting the appropriate information in the patient’s record.
