Don Robbins, CEO

Robbins is a Healthcare operations executive with 23 years of progressive healthcare administration leadership. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and began his career as an allied healthcare practitioner working in clinical therapy and sport's medicine. He then earned his Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University.

Robbins is a native of Sesser Illinois. He and his wife Penny have three children Peyton, Presley, and Parker.  Penny is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner specializing in Disney vacations. Their family enjoys traveling and visiting historical locations.  They also like spending time at Walt Disney World since both of their daughters currently work there.  Their son Parker is currently attending Rend Lake College and plans to pursue a career in Engineering.

He is excited about his new role as CEO.  “My primary focus is to work diligently every day to find new ways to improve the services offered to our patients in the Lawrence County area and to work collaboratively with all hospital staff, the hospital board, and the community in order to improve our healthcare outcomes.  I look forward to getting to know everyone in the community and am grateful for this opportunity.”

Larry Spour, CFO

Larry received B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University and started his financial career in the distribution industry. After eight years, Larry entered the healthcare industry as the Accounting Manager at Paris Community Hospital in Paris, Illinois. He worked in the finance department at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Illinois before accepting the CFO position at Clay County Hospital in Flora, Illinois. He started at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital on December 16, 2013. Larry is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Larry and his wife enjoy outdoor activities in the State and National Parks.

Rita Garvey, RN, BSN, CNO

Rita received her Associate Science Nursing in 1977 from Vincennes University. She began her career at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, that same year in May 1977. Rita worked numerous positions at the hospital, including Emergency Department Supervisor before being promoted to Chief Nursing Officer in 2004. Rita graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor Science Nursing in 1990. Rita enjoys spending time with her family.
